About the Material: Striped Ebony
Striped ebony, known for its striking black-and-brown grain pattern, is the most common type of ebony. Highly durable and resistant to wear, it develops a unique luster when polished. Once considered an excellent “entry-level” material for premium chopsticks, it has become increasingly rare in recent years.
This hardwood is ideal for creating fine, tapered tips and angular designs, making it perfect for everyday use. Its versatility in shaping and styling has earned striped ebony its place as a quintessential material for high-quality wooden chopsticks.
