Material: Yoshino Cedar
Yoshino cedar is one of Japan's most iconic tree species. Its scientific name, Cryptomeria japonica, means "Hidden Treasure of Japan." Other well-known varieties include Akita cedar, Tenryu cedar, Kitayama cedar, Hita cedar, and Yakushima cedar.
This wood is frequently used in traditional kaiseki chopsticks and Rikyu chopsticks. Additionally, disposable chopsticks made from domestically sourced, thinned Yoshino cedar contribute to forest conservation efforts.
