We are delighted to introduce a new addition to our collection: the Wakasa Lacquer Chopsticks – Dragon Blaze, crafted in Fukui Prefecture, the birthplace of the renowned Wakasa-nuri lacquerware. With a history of more than 400 years, Wakasa-nuri is celebrated for its intricate designs and refined craftsmanship, and these chopsticks are a perfect example of that tradition.

🌲 Design & Craftsmanship

The Dragon Blaze chopsticks feature the iconic “Matsuba-okoshi” pine needle pattern, a hallmark of Wakasa lacquerware. This motif is beautifully enhanced by shimmering raden (mother-of-pearl inlay) and highlighted with delicate touches of gold between the designs. The interplay of pine, shell, and gold creates a rich and elegant appearance, making this pair truly special.
